“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” 2 Tim. 1:6

At Christ United Methodist Church, we believe that we grow in Christ the fastest when we are meeting with other people to seek the Lord, study God’s Word, support one another, and pray together. That is why we offer a number of FIRE Groups to apply our faith to real experience. Several groups are already meeting, and other groups are being formed soon. Take a look at the list below, and see where you can be involved. If you have questions, or if you’d like to start a new group, talk to Pastor Thomas. Fan the flames of the Spirit’s fire!

Christ United Methodist Church is forming several task forces to plan new ministries, and we welcome your participation! The task forces will focus in these areas:

  • Educational Programs for Young Adults and Families (developing educational programs for young adults and parents in the areas of parenting, household finances, addiction, abuse, etc.)
  • Spirit-Led Worship Services (to incorporate Spirit-led worship services into the life of our congregation, including periodic Sunday morning services and special evening worship events)
  • Spiritual Stewardship Emphasis giving, generosity, and management)

If you would like to participate in one or more of these task forces, please contact Pastor Mac at 234-6371 or 277-5782. All who attend Christ UMC are welcome/encouraged to participate!
